The objectives of the section are to encourage and promote the games of billiards, darts, pool, snooker, sporting stars, ten-pin bowling and table tennis. Further, to organise an annual National Championships, which currently is held in May. Qualification to the National Championships is made through a Regional qualifying event.

In relation to representative fixtures, the Section currently holds four fixtures, including a Home International event, one 10-pin bowling & two table tennis events, throughout the year.

It is recognised that the standard of competition, camaraderie and friendship ensures Indoor Sports continues to progress from strength to strength through the family of policing.

Table Tennis is the only discipline within Indoor Sports that is involved in USPE programme.
