The Ladies Golf Section was formed in 2005. Each year there is a National Championship - Scratch/handicap normally held at the end of August and is open to lady golfers, who comply with Rule 36 of the Police Sport UK constitution and Rules. Each player must have a current club handicap. The competition is a 36 hole event and is played over one day with a practice round on previous day.
The Section have two representative fixtures against the Army, and the Civil Service. The top ten golfers in the scratch and handicap sections of the National Championships qualify automatically to represent the Police Sport UK Ladies Golf section in these matches No qualifying events to compete in the National Championships are set by the section however, some Forces may decide to hold qualifying events. Ladies Golf is not a USPE sport.
