The netball section was formed over 25years ago.
Each year the sections runs two main competitions, each September a force hosts the two day cup competition which runs over a weekend, in recent years 30 teams have entered the event, and there is even a waiting list for spaces for the event!
There is also the knockout tournament which starts in October, around 34-36 teams enter this. This runs on a knockout basis, but the losing teams in the first round, then start in the plate competition. The finals for both the knockout and the plate take place in June by a host force.
The section is beginning to put together a Police Sport UK national team and it is hoped by 2009 that selections would have taken place and matches will be arranged against other services.
Netball is not a USPE sport.
