This event was finally added to the fixture list of Police Sport UK in 1996 after many attempts to gain recognition. It was then a USPE event but unfortunately it is no longer held as one of their sixteen championships.
The competition has always been open to both male & female personal. The event is usually held in the summer months but not always.
There are various grades held within the competition . Some of the courses are relative easy for the novice and other more difficult
for the more experienced orienteerer.
There are two representative fixtures against various military personal.
